Your journey tPort Arthur starts from Hobart viewing Government House, home tthe governor of Tasmania. Travel across the Tasman Bridge over the Derwent River, and intthe Coal River Valley, an award winning wine producing area surrounding the historic town of Richmond (Oct - Apr). Then enjoy an orientation drive through this quaint historic town with a short photstop at the famous convict built Richmond Bridge (Oct tApr). You will continue ontthe Tasman Peninsula, an area abound with natural bushland, native wildlife and amazing coastal scenery. You will stop in the Tasman National Park at pristine Pirates Bay, will leave you in awe of the wonderful views, rugged coastline and striking rock formations. A great photopportunity! On arriving at Port Arthur, take walking tours around the main site and Isle of the Dead. Sitting tranquilly amidst English oaks and gardens, Port Arthur is a harsh contrast tthe beauty of the Tasman Peninsula. Rich in visual history, the Port Arthur Historic Site evokes a powerful sense of our past convict era and of early Australian settlement heritage, you will gain a more powerful insight intthe personal life and struggles of the convicts during your walking tour.

Early morning, depart tenjoy full day Mt. Field, Russell Falls, Mt. Wellington & Tassie Devils Tour. (This tour operates only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday). Mt. Field National Park offers a variety of walks in Tasmania’s oldest National Park. Most famous for Russell Falls & the Tall Trees we explore the various walks and regions of this diverse area which is only a 5 hr drive from Hobart. Russell Falls is easily Tasmania’s most recognisable waterfall with its 3 tiered drop. It is an easy and enjoyable walk along a beautiful track that takes us tthis photogenic waterfall and beyond tHorseshoe Falls. We alsmake our way along the Tall Trees Track where high above us stand the giant Swamp Gums 80 metres tall. This is a series of short, spectacular walks amongst the cool and quiet rainforest, eucalypts, streams and local wildlife. Enjoy your Lunch on your own in one of the numerous beautiful settings at Mt. Field before continuing onwards for the day.
You will visit Bonorong Wildlife Park which is home tmany of our rescued and well-loved wildlife. Tassie Devils are close up; wallabies are freely hopping around the park and many more of our local favourites are easily discovered here.
Ttop off this very Tasmanian day we head tthe summit of kunanyi/Mt. Wellington (1271m) Hobart’s iconic mountain backdrop. The views from the top are breathtaking and the vista is expansive. This is a fantastic way twrap up a day exploring many of Tassie’s most unique and noteworthy experiences, rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife and fabulous scenery. Retun back tyour hotel. Today you will depart from Hobart thead towards east, following the coastline north. (This tour operates on Thu & Sat between Oct – Nov & Tue, Thu & Sat between Dec - Mar). You will travel through the seaside towns of Orford and Swansea as we make our way tFreycinet National Park. Freycinet is one of Tasmania’s first National Parks, famous for its rich and stunning coastal landscapes. Pink Granite Mountains form the backdrop for secluded bays, pristine waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife and amazing walking trails.
As you enter the Freycinet area there is a brief stop at the Freycinet Marine Farm for anyone interested in the local oysters fresh from the surrounding pristine waters.
Walk tthe Wineglass Bay Lookout, this is a moderate uphill walk of around 45 minutes. Once at the top you are rewarded with that world – famous view of Wineglass Bay and the stunning Freycinet National Park. Enjoy the moment, take in the views and let our guides help you with those sought-after photographs. The walk tWineglass Bay Lookout is one of the Great Short Walks of Tasmania and requires good mobility and adequate fitness. It is 3 km uphill, before returning downhill.
For the keen walkers, you can continue the walk down tWineglass beach (5 hr return walking time). You have time on this famous beach ttake a swim, relax, eat your lunch (on own arrangement) or meander along the white sands. You may alstake shorter walking option, then you can explore other areas of Freycinet with our tour guide. Visit Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse & great short walk.
Head for onward journey tLaunceston. You will make a final stop for the day trefresh and relax. Enjoy the local hand-crafted Ice creams or perhaps a famous Tasmanian Scallop Pie! Arrive intLaunceston in the evening.

Full Day Cradle Mountains National Park Tour ex Launceston.
The tour starts as we travel south west from Launceston through green pastures, skirting the mountains of the Great Western Tiers towards Cradle Mountain National Park. You will pass through quaint and historical towns of Carrick, Hagley and Westbury and the scenic town of Deloraine renowned for their arts and crafts. Stop at Sheffield - the town of murals, Here you can see many intricate and life-like murals that adorn the town's buildings. As you traverse through dense forest and mountainous terrain look out for wombats, potaroos and wallabies that inhabit Cradle Mountain National Park.
Visit the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre for an insight and appreciation of the area. Perhaps take a short stroll along Enchanted Forest Walk viewing pencil pines, lush forest and a spectacular waterfall. There is an opportunity ttake a short stroll around Dove Lake as you take in views of the powerful and majestic Cradle Mountain (weather permitting). Maybe visit Waldheim Chalet (forest home) of Gustav Weindorfer. While returning tLaunceston, visit Ashgrove Cheese Farm for some famous Tasmanian cheese Learn how cheese is made and sample the numerous variety of cheese made on the premises before heading back tLaunceston.
